iOS 9 update not working

Since update iPad Air with IOS 9, the NYT crossword app is not working.

It freezes my screen often, forcing me to force restart my iPad. ie. Several times per session.

Also, it takes over 30 seconds to close.

AND, it appears to be seriously draining the battery.

Please fix ASAP.
