NYT Games: Word, Number, Logic App Reviews

This new version is absolutely terrible. The 7 years of puzzles I completed have been erased. The interface is slow and unwieldy and crashes unexpectedly quite often. Only the past 12 months of puzzles are available rather than 15 years. When I reupped my subscription in November, I did so expecting to be able to do older puzzles. Thats what I paid for. Now its been taken away. Absolutely despicable.

5 star app for sure but its a minus one million app at the moment. Open, crash. Open, crash.

Does not work following latest update - just keeps crashing without starting.

The app was great until the latest update. Now it will close immediately after opening it.

The latest build is unusable on my device, as it crashes, crashes, crashes… right from the opening screen. Everything was perfectly fine before this build. Please fix!!!

Just released, this latest version doesnt work on an iPad Pro, running an up to date version of iOS. Can you fix it fast (I have a long flight in 30 hours...)?

2.7.3 has fixed the crash problem with 2.7.2. Great app!

Cant access the App, keeps crashing.

2.7.3 (Sept 9, 2016) Crashes at opening. Will not start. This same issue happened with a previous update (2.4?) and that it happens with a recent iOS change and the new iPhone 7 announcement, it breeds suspicion. 2.7.1 (May 19, 2016) Works well, with few complaints now. I wish there were continuity from the very first iterations: every once in a while I work through a puzzle and know I did it before, once, years ago. Maybe thats being wistful. 2.4.0: Just updated, and now it wont work on my 4S. Crashes after start-up screen. Not cool. Todays puzzle (Sunday July 20th) has instructions (according to 72 across, and obvious from the weirdness of the starred clues) but there is no way to access them, another lost feature I only noticed now. Also, in grid mode, the clues arent numbered, which makes clever clues that incorporate the number (June 21 1998) into the clue annoying. ------- This update (July 14 2014) lost the "switch between across and down" button. But apparently (and with no explanation just trial and error) tapping the clue does the switch. Sweet mercy. -------- The back puzzles only go back to last year as opposed to 1998 (since fixed with update). It lost all my completed puzzles. You can only choose puzzles from the calendar screen (which, again after trial and error, you can move through months by tapping the month and year title: I was side scrolling month to month for the first week of the 2.x). Its a prettier but far less efficient interface. This is awful: Im just off for a trip and have effectively lost my favourite app.

Since I gave a 0 rating to the latest version because of the crashing issue, Ive given a 5 star rating to the fixed version. No problems now, and its the same great app.

Self-explanatory. This app rules.

Not subscribed yet, but thinking of that. Will try free a little more.

Cant wait each day for my crossword, which automatically comes to my iPad. Only a few small quibbles about size/scale of margins and screen, but really easy to use overall. Recommend this if you like crosswords.

The latest version of this game looks great and is certainly an improvement. But they got rid of the puzzle completion fanfare and animation. People who grew up with video games love those kinds of audio visual rewards. At least make it an option.

I seriously love this app. Best way to improve my English.
