The NY Times responded quickly to fix the crash problem and even included an explanation of the cause of the crashes in the updated app. They acted so quickly I hadnt yet begun to develop withdrawal symptoms.
I have used this app for years, back in the day that it was run through another company. This latest version has not solved my issue. I cannot restore my old purchases and notifications do not work, even though I have them turned on. Please fix this! I love the app, but these problems are extremely frustrating.
Easy to play, interesting clues, challenging at just the right level.
I had a problem where my streak was broken through some kind of bug (solved a puzzle on the web but it was counted as if I used a hint or reveal) and then contacted customer service and got no response. The subscription price is a little steep to not even get a sorry we cant help you response.
Thank you for fixing the recent bugs. The app just keeps getting better.
Every time I start the app I have to dismiss an advertisement for some puzzle pack. Im already paying a subscription for this please respect me as a user and dont use annoying ads like these.
Help! I need to cancel my subscription. The print version in the newspaper works better for me.
I downloaded this app about 3 weeks ago, and tonight was the second time when I solved the puzzle, got the message there were still one or two errors, I reviewed the puzzle for 5-10 minutes, couldnt find anything so revealed the puzzle to find . . . I had actually solved it correctly. Frustrating and broke a streak. Please fix.
I was really surprised by the lack of support for the Apple Pencil. I thought I would be able to write in answers on the iPad Pro as one can on the MS surface version of this app.
If Jumbo Mondays are supposed to be free according to the in-app purchases, why do I have to pay $4.99 to get them?
The puzzles, of course, are great. I do seem to have difficulties on the day that my renewal goes into effect. It seems to take about an hour for the app to grant me access. Other than this, the app works great day in and day out.
Im already a 7 day home delivery subscriber. Im not paying again for this.
Fun app but not useful for my iPhone since it drains battery life. Can only use on my iPad. Good crosswords though. If they can fix the battery issue it will be a 5 star app.

I love the Daily Mini. It is part of my daily routine. Sometimes I am not able to get to it until later in the day, when I find it has already switched to the next day! It would be great if there could be a "back" button to see the previous Mini, or if the next days Mini did not post until midnight.
The app is decent but for $40, users should have lifetime access to the full crossword library, not just a year. Are you kidding me?
Generally I enjoy this app - I solve the puzzle every morning. But this morning it decided for no apparent reason to make my 10 day streak into a 4 day streak. And if I solve the puzzle after 10 pm PST it doesnt give credit for a streak. If it cant get a simple streak right, why would I trust any other stat it generates?
I really didnt have a problem with the old app. With this latest version, the "Packs" button does not show any packs available for purchase. The "try these" is blank.
Really, it does. Is this an adult marketing mistake? I cant get past the whack a mole - theres no X. About once a week it actually enters the puzzle. And I pay for this?
